Finding it hard to believe Red Devils victory-price

ARE Manchester United really a shade of odds-on to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon?

I find this difficult to believe.

Now, I know United are not the fastest at getting started at home this year, but only Tottenham have taken three points from the Theatre Of Dreams this term.

Nine wins out of ten. And they have the best player in the league. The signing of Robin van Persie has to be up there with Sir Alex's greatest ever coups. It's on a par with Eric Cantona in my book.

So why back Luis Suarez... sorry Liverpool to beat them today?

I can't find one reason. The Reds needed a handball goal to beat Mansfield in the cup last week and they are nowhere near United's level, even though this is hardly the greatest Old Trafford team in the last 20 years.

It looks like a Manchester double for me. I just can't trust Arsenal's backline. They just aren't very good.

When the World 11 was announced this week, every player played in Spain yet some will still say the Premier League is better because it's competitive.

Yeah, right. Only about four teams have any chance of winning it each season and this term it's just two.

And they'll both win today. I have no doubt.

Hibernian v Celtic

Home Win Draw Away Win
Key stats
  • Celtic have scored at least two goals in nine of their last 11 matches against Hibs
Expert verdict
Hibs have not won the Scottish Cup since 1902 and the wait could go on at Hampden Park. Celtic won their last two SPL matches 4-0 and Joe Ledley, who has scored nine goals this season, could represent some first goalscorer value from midfield.
