Full of confidence for some cup magic

THIS tip may end up looking more foolish than Arsenal's back four but I fancy a massive upset in the FA Cup on Saturday.

It's something I seem to say to myself every time I look at a coupon but surely Everton are too short to beat Blackpool, who could well end up being a belting bet.

Many thought the Tangerine dream would die when Ian Holloway's men got relegated from the Premier League and Charlie Adam was sold to Liverpool, but my word (as Ray Wilkins might say), Blackpool are having a right crack at the Championship.

Goals are flying in from all angles and those Phillips brothers Kevin and Matty are tearing opponents apart. Never mind the brothers gag that there's such a gulf in ages this could be a father/son relationship.

Bad jokes aside, Blackpool have so many other players capable of scoring I just have to be with the Seasiders at Goodison safe in the knowledge win or lose it can all be won back on the late game.

Arsenal are even more fragile than usual and any team that's got Johan Djourou in it makes me want to oppose them.

I used the new player filter on Soccerbase and it just confirmed my view that the Swiss clown is stealing a living as a footballer.

The Gunners have lost six of the last ten times Djourou has started and conceded 20 goals the last six times he has played away so the writing was on the wall as soon as he came on against Milan in the San Siro on Wednesday.

When Johan is a confirmed starter, lump on Sunderland.

B Munich v Chelsea

Home Win Draw Away Win
Key stats
  • Chelsea have scored two goals or more in four of their last six fixtures
  • Bayern Munich have kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches
Expert verdict
Chelsea have battled their way through to the Champions League final against all the odds and look decent value to lift the trophy. The Blues have rediscovered a winning mentality under Roberto Di Matteo and can take advantage of an overrated Bayern Munich team who were outclassed by Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup final.
