1-5 Saunders all the rage to take over at Wolves
DONCASTER manager Dean Saunders is 1-5 with BetVictor to become the next Wolves manager following Stale Solbakken's sacking on Saturday night in the aftermath of the Molineux men's shock FA Cup third-round defeat at Luton.
Sean O'Driscoll, recently sacked by Nottingham Forest despite a decent run of form, and Owen Coyle are the only other men quoted at single-figure odds in the betting behind Saunders, who had originally been chalked up at 1-3 by the firm.
But Coyle, 6-1 with Ladbrokes, is 12-1 with BetVictor and Doncaster have confirmed that Wolves have made an official approach to speak to Saunders.
Doncaster, currenly level on points with Tranmere at the top of League One and 10-1 to win the title and 11-4 for promotion, also say they will not stand in Saunders' way if he decides to go and have a Plan B in place.
Wolves are 6-4 to beat Blackburn in their live Championship clash on Wednesday night. Rovers are 15-8 to triumph and the draw is available at 12-5.
