2-1 Brazil through to the last four of World Cup
BRAZIL are 2-1 to win the World Cup after they beat Colombia 2-1 to set up a semi-final against Germany.
It was far from a perfect performance from the tournament hosts but goals from centre-backs Thiago Silva and David Luiz put Brazil in control before James Rodriguez reduced the deficit from the spot to set up a grandstand finish.
However, Brazil held on although Silva will miss the semi-final because of suspension after picking up a yellow card and Neymar suffered a back injury towards the end of the match.
Coral rate Brazil 8-11 to qualify for the final with Germany at 11-10, while Rodriguez will no longer be able to build on his six-goal tally at the tournament.
The Monaco man is evens with Hills to finish as the leading marksman.
