Arsenal drift for title after Tottenham draw
ARSENAL’S Premier League title hopes suffered another setback on Saturday night after they drew 1-1 at home to bitter rivals Tottenham.
Arsene Wenger’s men were 4-5 to beat Spurs but they needed an Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain equaliser for a share of the points after Nacer Chadli opened the scoring. The Gunners are six points behind table-toppers Chelsea and 12-1 from 9-1 to win the title after four draws in their last five league games.
Chelsea are 8-13 to win the league after cruising to a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, with Diego Costa notching his eighth goal of the season, and they remain three points ahead of second-placed Southampton who beat QPR 2-1.
Wayne Rooney scored as Manchester United beat West Ham 2-1 at Old Trafford but the England captain was shown a red card in the the second half.
Crystal Palace made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 victory at home to Leicester, while champions Manchester City are 11-4 to retain their crown after winning 4-2 at Hull.
Everton captain Phil Jagielka rescued a point for his side in the Merseyside derby with an injury-time wonder strike as the Toffees drew 1-1 at Liverpool. Reds captain Steven Gerrard had opened the scoring with a free-kick.
