Arsenal drift for top four after United defeat

ARSENAL are out to 8-11 with Coral for a top-four Premier League finish after the Gunners lost further ground on England’s elite following a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at the Emirates.

The Londoners dominated much of the 90 minutes against injury-ravaged United but they were caught out when Antonio Valencia’s effort was turned into his own net by Kieran Gibbs in the second half.

Wayne Rooney grabbed a second on the counter attack as United picked up their first league away success under Louis van Gaal, which can be considered a fantastic achievement given young defenders Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair started in the back three.

The Red Devils are available at 2-5 to finish in the top four.
Arsenal’s misery was complete when midfielder Jack Wilshere and goalkeeper Wojciech Tomasz Szczesny hobbled off injured in the second half, although returning forward Olivier Giroud grabbed a late consolation.

Chelsea maintained their grip on top spot with a comfortable 2-0 success over ten-man West Brom at Stamford Bridge and are 1-6 to be crowned champions.

The game was as good as over in the first-half when Claudio Yacob saw red after the Blues had already cruised into a 2-0 advantage with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard on target.

Bet365 reacted by making Jose Mourinho’s side 15-2 to go through the Premier League season unbeaten and 5-2 not to lose a clash at the Bridge this term.

They are also 10-3 to get at least 96 points and break the Premier League record.

Manchester City are seen as Chelsea’s closest challengers and are 11-2 for the title after they came from behind to beat Swansea 2-1 at the Etihad.

Goals from Stevan Jovetic and Yaya Toure kept City in the hunt following Wilfried Bony’s shock opener.

Newcastle maintained their fine form with a 1-0 success over QPR, with Moussa Sissoko’s late goal leaving Rangers rooted to the bottom of the table.

QPR are evens to be relegated, but Burnley are out to 4-9 after a fine 2-1 win at Stoke.

Danny Ings was the Clarets hero with a double and only goal difference stops Burnley being outside of the bottom three.

Leicester, who are 17th, were held to a 0-0 draw by Sunderland and Everton beat West Ham 2-1 at Goodison Park.
