AVB backed to replace Dalglish at Anfield helm

ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS has been backed into 3-1 joint-favourite for the now vacant Liverpool manager's job on Wednesday night.

AVB, sacked himself from the Chelsea helm in March, is now had joined Roberto Martinez at the head of the betting on the next man in the Anfield hotseat following the removal of Kenny Dalglish during the afternoon.

Frank Rijkaard, Rafa Benitez and Brendan Rodgers have all proved popular with punters both before and after confirmation of the Reds board's decision on the future of Dalglish.
