Backing for Bayern shows no sign of abating
PUNTERS have been steaming into Bayern Munich throughout the week and backing for the German champions continues, with three firms cutting them for Champions League glory.
Jupp Heynckes' side were trimmed from 2-5 from 4-9 with Ladbrokes and Betfred and from 1-3 from 2-5 with Boyles – as short as they have been with any firm since qualifying for the final.
The gamble intensified after Wednesday's revelation that Mario Gotze had no chance of playing and the team news has had a few side effects on the goalscorer markets with two Borussia Dortmund players, midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and attacking midfielder Marco Reus, backed to take extra responsibility in front of goal.
Suggestions Gundogan could play in a more advanced role have contributed to bet365 cutting his first scorer odds from 28-1 to 16-1 in just 48 hours
And Reus was trimmed from 10-1 to 8-1 to notch first and from 100-1 to 80-1 to score a hat-trick.
Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is still regarded the chief Dortmund threat and is 13-2 to notch first and no bigger than 66-1 to bag a hat-trick.
