Baggies boss Pulis 2-1 to be next manager out

TONY PULIS was feeling the heat in Barbados on his holiday during the international break but he should also be feeling it in another sense if bookmakers are correct in their Premier League sack-race market.

Only Everton target Marco Silva is shorter in the betting to be the next top-flight boss to leave their current position with Betway 2-1 that Pulis joins Frank de Boer, Craig Shakespeare, Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic on the managerial scrapheap.

Pulis offered a passionate defence of his West Brom record  and dismissed talk of being under pressure but the Baggies boss faces a difficult assignment against Chelsea followed by next week’s trip to tackle Tottenham.

West Brom are 16th in the Premier League and 3-1 to be relegated but Pulis said: “Last season we ended up tenth for third time in club’s history. It is only the second time since 1967 that we have finished as the top Midlands club.”

Albion are 11-2 with 188Bet to finish as Midlands’ finest this season in a market headed by Leicester at 6-11 from 2-1 Stoke.

David Unsworth remains as Everton’s caretaker manager for their trip to Crystal Palace and he is generally available at 2-1 to take the job permanently with Watford boss Silva just edging favouritism.

Sunderland’s managerial search seems clearer cut with Coral offering Chris Coleman at 1-2 to fill the Stadium of Light vacancy. Peter Reid is Coleman’s nearest challenger at 5-1.

Mauricio Pochettino claims he would like to manage at Tottenham for another 20 years ahead of the north London derby which sees Spurs heading to the Emirates to face Arsenal with Harry Kane fit for the visitors.

Kane has been Arsenal’s nemesis in recent times with six goals in as many north London derbies and bet365 offer 9-2 he outscores the Gunners. The same firm go 12-5 that Arsenal finish  above Spurs this season.
