Bayern Munich cut after quarter-final draw

BAYERN MUNICH were the big winners of the Champions League quarter-final draw after being paired to play Porto as their two main market rivals were handed far more difficult ties.

The Bundesliga leaders have been cut from 12-5 to 2-1 with Betway to lift the trophy and should be confident of overcoming Porto, particularly as the second leg is in Munich.

Bayern are 1-5 to qualify and 4-6 with Ladbrokes to win the first leg in Portugal, but things are expected to be much tighter in the Madrid derby between Real and Atletico in a repeat of last season’s Lisbon final.

Real are 4-7 to make it through to the semi-finals and Atletico, who have not lost in six matches against their city rivals this term, are available at 15-8.

Barcelona can be backed at 5-2 to win the competition after being drawn to play Paris St-Germain in what seems certain to be a high-quality encounter between two star-studded squads.

Barca, 4-11 to qualify, have already been supported to win the first leg in Paris and are a best-priced evens with bet365 and Betfred to take a lead back to Camp Nou.

PSG will be without suspended duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti for the opening leg in France.

Juventus, who meet Monaco, have been slashed from 14-1 to 8-1 to claim the trophy.

Everton’s Europa League exit at the hands of Dynamo Kiev on Thursday saw England’s involvement in Uefa competitions come to an end with no Premier League side reaching the quarter-finals in either tournament.

Bet365 quote only 5-4 that an English side bounces back to lift a continental trophy next season and they are 4-7 to miss out on silverware once again.

The front two in the Europa League market – Wolfsburg and Napoli – meet in the last eight. Wolfsburg are 4-5 with Ladbrokes to qualify, while Hills make Napoli 6-5 shots to make the last four.

Champions League quarter-final draw: Paris St-Germain v Barcelona, Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid, Porto v Bayern Munich, Juventus v Monaco.

Europa League quarter-final draw: Seville v Zenit, Dnipro v Club Brugge, Dynamo Kiev v Fiorentina, Wolfsburg v Napoli.
