Mourinho blame game bingo fooling no one

THE football world was rocked earlier this week when Barcelona were handed a two-window transfer ban by Fifa but I don’t see what the big deal is - Arsenal have been working on the same suspension ever since Arsene Wenger’s boys moved in to the Emirates.

I know that’s a pretty rubbish gag but please forgive me because I have been in a joyful mood ever since Chelsea got stuffed in Paris.

I have nothing against Blues supporters and I even lost money on the match but seeing Jose Mourinho squirming afterwards was a delight worth losing a few quid.

Mourinho seems to blame everyone bar himself for Chelsea’s poor results.

West Ham played 19th century football, it was the referee’s fault at Aston Villa and even the ballboy got an earful at Crystal Palace.

The Special One took aim at his misfiring forward line for the Paris defeat but who was it who played midfielder Andre Schurrle up front on his own? Who was it who let Romelu Lukaku head out on loan to Everton?

Mourinho once won a Champions League with Derlei and Carlos Alberto up front and now he doesn’t think it is possible to do the same with Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o, plus an attacking midfield trio who cost more than most squads put together.

I don’t expect Mourinho to be playing the blame game on Saturday because the Blues should beat Stoke - they usually do at the Bridge - but there could be a better bet elsewhere in the Premier League.

When researching my weekend bets I came across a headline which read “Palace game massive says noone.”

That’s a bit harsh I thought - Cardiff versus Palace isn’t exactly El Clasico but it’s a big game for two clubs in the relegation scrap - before I remembered noone was Noone and then it made much more sense.

Anyway, it’s a massive match and Palace look a massive price to win it with their defensive solidity the key to taking maximum points.
