Arsenal are still looking for the right recipe
ARSENAL haven’t quite got going yet and I’ll be taking them on at Everton in Saturday evening’s live clash.
Those Gooners always seem to find something to get themselves in a state about. For the last few years it has been the lack of a trophy or the absence of big-money signings, but now those problems have gone away they seem to have got incredibly wound up about who should lead the line.
Yaya Sanogo is still more raw than sushi and Wenger seems to think the same of Joel Campbell, while Olivier Giroud seems the opposite of raw: a bit overcooked and burnt out.
He can be extremely tasty from time to time and some still love him, but Arsenal fans want a striker who is medium rare rather than well done (I think I’m done with this analogy).
I’m not convinced they’re going to get him and I’ve got to be honest, it’s quite funny. Arsene Wenger is a stubborn bloke and I’ve got to admire him for that. He’ll probably go out and sign and an unknown Venezuelan teenager on deadline day and hold a big press conference about it.
I saw that Everton outarsenaled Arsenal last season by having more possession than Wenger’s side and they can frustrate the Gunners and hold them to a draw at Goodison.
Even if they win, at least I’ll enjoy watching the Arsenal fans tearing their hair out every time an unattacked cross bounces across the box.
