Arsenal's win at Manchester City on Sunday means we can hand Chelsea the Premier League title (again) and focus on the serious business – who on earth is going to be relegated?
There are six points separating the bottom nine teams in the top flight and, although bookmakers expect Everton to get out of trouble well before squeaky-bum time, I couldn't be backing them against West Brom on Monday.
For a start, too many favourites won over the weekend. It's just like when a coin comes down heads ten times in a row – the 11th time it's bound to be tails. Why the missus banned me from going to Vegas, I do not know.
But more importantly, you have to consider the mystical power of West Brom boss Tony Pulis – the man who can never be relegated.
I was a bit sceptical about this claim when Pulis joined Crystal Palace last season but he performed a genuine footballing miracle at Selhurst Park so there's no way the Baggies can go down this season.
In the other dugout at Goodison Park is Roberto Martinez, a man who knows exactly what it takes to get relegated, and on the basis of that I'll be backing West Brom to take three points. Simple.
