Boring boring Chelsea can get predictable win
IT was a cracking day's football on Saturday.
There was plenty of tension with Watford getting promoted, the battle for the Conference title and now we know who is going to fall out of the Football League.
It all seems so gloriously unpredictable. It wasn't so long ago that Hartlepool were ten points adrift in League Two but they still stayed up.
It's not really been bumped up by the media that much, but they'll be champing at the bit for Sunday's game between Arsenal and Chelsea.
I'm tempering my enthusiasm. Chelsea will probably be considered worthy champions, something that is only a few days away from being confirmed, but I don't get excited watching them play.
It's all a bit dull. Jose Mourinho's side probe away, get a goal up and generally hold on.
But there is always a profit to be had when you can detect a pattern.
There always used to be a chant that rang around Gunners home games that went 'One-nil to the Arsenal'.
I can see the same scoreline in this clash. It'll just be the champions-elect celebrating.
