Here's hoping for more hilarity at the Hawthorns
IT seems like ages since we last had a Bank Holiday.
The problem is they are slanted too much towards the spring with Easter (I know its a religious holiday, but you get where I'm coming from ) and then two in May.
As we contemplate putting back our clocks back an hour on Saturday night, I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that we could do with an extra day off work.
It's just too long to fight our way from the end of August to Christmas without a Monday morning lie-in.
I for one am feeling the pace but I think we should all be given the day off to celebrate the own goal after some absolute crackers over the weekend.
It's not fair to pick on Sunderland fans but just as being mistaken for a shoplifter is absolutely hilarious so long as it happens to somebody else, an 8-0 has to be relished an enjoyed.
And what an opener from Santiago Vergini. He's raised the bar in the best Og of the season category by smashing in the opener at St Mary's on the volley from virtually the edge of his own box.
Liam Bridcutt bundling the ball home for the fourth, fifth or sixth - sorry I'd lost count - was pretty comical too.
And then what were Richard Dunne and Steven Caulker doing for QPR on Sunday?
We should all be allowed as much time as possible to look over these incidents.
You can bet your life that Gary Neville is, so why should he have all the fun?
Let's have the day off and celebrate and then hope for a similar level of calamity at The Hawthorns.
Maybe West Brom and Manchester United can come to the party.
There's always room for one more.
