Potters look primed to increase woes of pal Pulis

Stoke fans will always have a soft spot for Tony Pulis but I imagine they will be as noisy as ever at the Britannia this weekend with the Potters taking on Pulis's current side, West Brom.

Pulis has crossed swords with his old club twice before – leading Crystal Palace and Albion to trademark 1-0 wins – but I think it could be a case of third time unlucky.

Albion failed to register a shot on target at Watford in their last away game and drew 0-0 at home to Port Vale in the Capital One Cup before going through on penalties.

Stoke were just as poor in midweek – needed penalties to see off League Two Luton in Bedfordshire – but I liked what I saw of them in recent draws at Tottenham (2-2) and Norwich (1-1).

Previously they lost 1-0 to Liverpool after Philippe Coutinho stunned them with a superb strike.

It might take another moment of magic to decide their second home match of the season but Stoke, who have recently added Xherdan Shaqiri, have more match-winners in their ranks than West Brom and they get my vote at Evens.
