Bookmakers at odds over new City boss Pellegrini
MAURICIO PELLEGRINI is 4-1 with Ladbrokes not to last the season after being confirmed as Manchester City manager on Friday, despite being 4-5 to lose his job before either of the other new boys at the head of the Premier League market.
Manchester United are 9-4 favourites ahead of City and Chelsea at 12-5. All three have new managers in place and BetVictor make Pellegrini 4-5 to be ousted before Chelsea's returning hero Jose Mourinho, who is 2-1, and United's David Moyes at 4-1.
Ladbrokes are more hopeful for the Chilean making City 4-5 to win a trophy next season. Betfred are biggest at evens.
Champions League failure did Roberto Mancini no favours, but bet365 expect Pellegrini to rectify that and make City 3-1 to go out in the group stages for the third successive year. Hills are more cautious, going 4-7 that they come through.
