Celtic slump to defeat against 20-1 Red Imps
CELTIC suffered one of the biggest upsets in footballing history with an embarrassing 1-0 defeat to Gibraltarian outfit Lincoln Red Imps in the Champions League second qualifying round.
Lee Casciaro's well-taken goal three minutes into the second half was enough to spring a 20-1 shock, and ensured the Red Imps took a first-leg advantage back to Glasgow.
The Ladbrokes Premiership champions, who traded at 1-10 with bet365, dominated possession throughout the contest and although Leigh Griffiths hit the bar twice, Brendan Rodgers' first game in charge was a losing one.
Despite the shock defeat, Celtic are still 1-10 to qualify with Hills ahead of the Imps at 11-2. The second leg will take place at Celtic Park next Wednesday.
