Chelsea top market for League Cup success

CHELSEA maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign with a 2-1 win over Bolton in the League Cup on Wednesday with the Blues clear 11-4 favourites to win the competition after being drawn at League Two Shrewsbury in round four.

Holders Manchester City come next in the market at 3-1 following their resounding 7-0 success over Sheffield Wednesday. Their reward is a home date with Newcastle, who are out to 33-1 despite overcoming Crystal Palace in extra-time.

Tottenham and Liverpool are both at 7-1 following home draws with Brighton and Swansea respectively, while Southampton are the big springers in the market after their victory away to Arsenal.

Saints, 28-1 prior to the success at the Emirates when Ronald Koeman named a strong side, are 12-1 and Southampton will probably need to select a similar team to triumph at Stoke.

League Cup fourth-round draw: Bournemouth v West Brom, Fulham v Derby, Liverpool v Swansea, MK Dons v Sheffield United, Man City v Newcastle, Shrewsbury v Chelsea, Stoke v Southampton, Tottenham v Brighton.
