City 200-1 to land a trophy clean sweep

MANCHESTER CITY are through to next month’s Capital One Cup final after completing an aggregate 4-3 triumph over Everton on Wednesday but their Premier League title hopes have taken a blow after key midfielder Kevin De Bruyne sustained knee and ankle injuries which will rule him out for around six weeks.

City are 13-10 title favourites and 8-13 to land the league cup, with Liverpool 11-8. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are still battling on four fronts and are 200-1 with Sky Bet to complete the quad.

However, they will probably have to get through a large part of their busy schedule without De Bruyne, who fell awkwardly just before the end of normal time and had to be stretchered off.

Despite the blow City boss Pellegrini is hoping the Belgian will still play some part in the remainder of the campaign.

He said: “I’m optimistic he won’t be out for the rest of the season. The doctor thinks, but he cannot be sure, that it is a problem in his medial ligament.”

If it is the medial ligament it will be similar to the injury Tottenham centre-back Jan Vertonghen suffered on Saturday.

The injuries to the Belgium internationals appears to be great news for title rivals Leicester and Arsenal. The Foxes’ title odds remain unchanged at 8-1 but Arsenal were cut into 15-8 yesterday.

The FA Cup fourth round commences with tonight’s clash between Derby and Manchester United which is just one of a number of tricky ties which pits Premier League clubs against lower-league opposition.

No Premier League side lost to clubs outside of the division in the third round but bet365 are expecting that to change.

At least three top-flight sides are guaranteed to be eliminated at this stage but the firm make it a 2-1 chance that another two sides befall a similar fate.
