Joleon Lescott celebrates his winning goal at Aston Villa on Sunday

City 4-6 for title after
win at Villa Park

MANCHESTER CITY are 4-6 to win the Premier League after Joleon Lescott sent them back to the top of the table by scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.

Lescott’s second-half strike gave City their first win away in the
league for three months and restored City’s two-point advantage after Manchester United had usurped them by beating Liverpool 2-1 on Saturday.

City are clear favourites over 6-4 United as they look forward to home games against Blackburn and Bolton, whereas United face tough trips to Norwich and Tottenham.

Spurs, who are seven points behind City and
20-1 to lift the title, also travel to Arsenal before then.

B Munich v Chelsea

Home Win Draw Away Win
Key stats
  • Chelsea have scored two goals or more in four of their last six fixtures
  • Bayern Munich have kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches
Expert verdict
Chelsea have battled their way through to the Champions League final against all the odds and look decent value to lift the trophy. The Blues have rediscovered a winning mentality under Roberto Di Matteo and can take advantage of an overrated Bayern Munich team who were outclassed by Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup final.
