City 6-1 to go unbeaten after derby victory

MANCHESTER CITY moved 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League after goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi secured a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Ederson came to City's rescue late on with a spectacular double save from Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata but City were the better side and showed why they have dominated the division. Pep Guardiola's team are 6-1 with bet365 for an unbeaten campaign.

City are no bigger than 1-12 to win the title but Betfred believe the leaders are in an unassailable position and have joined Paddy Power in paying out early on them finishing top.

Boss Fred Done, a huge United fan, said: "It's a sad day but as far as I'm concerned the Blues are champions."

Betfred got it wrong in 1998 when they paid out on United to win the league when they were 11 points clear only to see them pipped at the post by Arsenal.

However, it now looks a matter of how far City will win the league by.

Bet365 offer 4-1 that City break the record 18-point winning margin and 1-6 that they don't.

Hills go 9-4 that they win by up to ten points, 8-11 for a margin of 11 to 20 points and 9-4 that they win by 21 points or more.

City have taken a maximum 24 points from their eight away games this season and they are 20-1 with bet365 to finish the season with a 100 per cent record on their travels.

Liverpool missed the chance to climb into third place when they were held 1-1 by Everton.

Wayne Rooney's 77th-minute penalty secured a point for the Toffees, who had looked outclassed for the majority of the match.

Jurgen Klopp gambled by leaving Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino out of his starting line-up and the Reds could not add to Mohamed Salah's 42nd-minute goal despite winning the shot count 19-3.

Salah's goal took his league tally to 13, one ahead of Tottenham's Harry Kane.

The Egyptian is 4-1 with Paddy Power to finish at the top of the scoring charts.Arsenal moved above rivals Spurs into fifth place after Olivier Giroud came off the bench to score an 88th-minute header that rescued a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

The Gunners have collected just eight points from a possible 24 on their travels in the league this season but they are odds-on to beat West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday.
