City drift for cup glory after tricky draw

CHELSEA have been trimmed to 5-1 with Ladbrokes for FA Cup glory after being handed a plum home tie against either Notts County or Peterborough in the third round but things are not so straightforward for Manchester City.

The Blues were 13-2 joint-favourites with City but have taken sole favouritism following last night’s draw.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been pushed out to 7-1 after being handed a tricky trip to West Ham while Manchester United are in to 8-1 after landing Reading at home which will see a return to Old Trafford for Royals boss Jaap Stam.

City’s trip to the capital is one of just four all-Premier League ties with Everton entertaining Leicester, Hull hosting Swansea and Burnley heading to Sunderland in the other three.

Liverpool’s home draw against either Newport or Plymouth has seen the Reds shorten to 6-1, while Arsenal are 7-1 shots after landing a Lancashire hotpot at Preston.

Sergio Aguero has been given a four-match ban after being sent off in City’s 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

It was Aguero’s second red card of the season and the Argentinian will miss the games against Leicester, Watford, Arsenal and Hull.

The Citizens won all three games without their star man during his September suspension and bet365 go 6-1 that the Etihad side take maximum points from the quartet of games he’ll miss this month. It’s 3-1 that he finishes the season as Premier League top scorer.

Fernandinho will serve a three-game suspension after seeing red for his part in the fracas that followed Aguero’s late challenge on David Luiz. Both clubs have been charged by the FA for failing to control their players.

The same charge has been handed to Watford and West Brom after their players clashed in the Baggies’ 3-1 win at Vicarage Road at the weekend.

Watford’s Roberto Pereyra was dismissed in the 84th minute after he reacted angrily to a James McClean challenge that saw both sides square up on the touchline.

Everton were dealt a huge blow yesterday when Yannick Bolasie was ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury to his right knee.
