Clement slashed to fill Swansea vacancy
THERE has been a strong move in the betting towards Paul Clement becoming Swansea's new manager after reports suggested he was the number one target.
Clement, a 4-9 shot with Paddy Power to replace the sacked Bob Bradley, was in charge of Sky Bet Championship outfit Derby for eight months last season but is known more for his ability as a number two.
The 44-year-old is currently assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich and also made his name working alongside the Italian at Chelsea, Paris-St Germain and Real Madrid before taking the plunge at Pride Park.
With Clement a short price all other managers have been shoved out to fill the Liberty Stadium vacancy. Gary Rowett, a 5-1 chance, is the only other boss below odds of 12-1.
Caretaker coach Alan Curtis will take charge of Saturday's Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
