Coutinho 5-4 to stay after transfer request

LIVERPOOL insist Philippe Coutinho will not be sold to Barcelona despite requesting a transfer but the Brazilian playmaker is odds-on with bookmakers to force a move to the Catalan giants before the summer window closes.

Coutinho is as short as 1-2 to get his transfer to Barca with 5-6 the top price available with Betfair, while the 25-year-old is 5-4 with Sky Bet to remain with the Reds.

There are seven Premier League matches on Saturday and six of those feature an odds-on favourite, including both televised matches where Liverpool head to Watford and title favourites Manchester City visit Brighton.

It will be Albion’s first Premier League match and their first top-flight contest since 1983 with Chris Hughton’s side 12-5 with Betfair and Coral to finish the season as the top promoted club.

Hills make Newcastle 4-6 favourites in that market with Huddersfield 11-2 outsiders with Ladbrokes. The Terriers, who begin life in the Premier League at Crystal Palace, are 4-6 to be relegated and 13-10 to stay up.

David Wagner’s playoff winners are 5-4 to collect no more than 31 points with bet365 and much could depend on whether record signing Steve Mounie settles.

Mounie notched 14 goals in Ligue 1 for Montpellier last season – scoring every 202 minutes – and bet365 have set his Premier League line at over/under 7.5 with both sides at 10-11.

Injured defender Danny Rose won’t be in the Tottenham squad for their trip to Newcastle but he has apologised for his outburst earlier this week when the England left-back criticised the club over a lack of spending.

Rose is 4-9 with Sky Bet to remain at Spurs and a switch to Manchester United has drifted to 3-1. Chelsea are 6-1 to sign Rose.

Bruno Martins Indi has moved to Stoke and West Brom manager Tony Pulis has signed a contract extension to 2019. Pulis has drifted to 14-1 in Sky Bet’s sack-race betting.
