Coyle springs back into action as Wigan boss
WIGAN have appointed Owen Coyle as their new manager. The Scot fills to position vacated by Roberto Martinez, who left the DW Stadium to take over at Everton.
The Latics, relegated from the Premier League last month, are 12-1 joint-fifth favourites for the Championship title and as big as 200-1 to win the Europa League, which they qualified for by winning the FA Cup.
Coyle managed Burnley and Bolton in the Premier League (having led the Clarets to promotion from the Championship) and has been out of a job since being sacked by the Trotters in October 2012.
