Desperate Tigers 2-9 for the dreaded drop

THINGS are looking desperate for Hull with the Tigers only 2-9 to be relegated from the Premier League after they lost 2-0 at Tottenham.

Steve Bruce’s side will go into the final day of the campaign knowing they need to beat Manchester United at home to stand any chance of survival.

Hills rate Hull 7-4 to beat United for the first time in the Premier League, while the Red Devils are 11-10 for maximum points.

have left Hull hoping for a favour from elsewhere to stay in the top flight.

City can at least consolidate themselves with the fact that Newcastle remain a shambles with United losing again, this time 2-1 at relegated QPR.

Newcastle have a worse goal difference than Hull, but will go into their match at home to West Ham with a two-point advantage over the Tigers.

Sunderland are the only other team who can join QPR and Burnley in the Championship following a goalless stalemate against Leicester.

The Black Cats, 12-1 to be relegated, are three points clear of Hull and have a game in hand on their rivals, although their remaining two matches are difficult ones away to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Aston Villa are safe despite a 6-1 mauling at Southampton with Sadio Mane scoring the fastest ever Premier League hat-trick in just two minutes and 56 seconds.

Steven Gerrard’s final match at Anfield ended in disappointment. Liverpool lost 3-1 against Crystal Palace and Gerrard, who had been as short as evens, missed out on the man-of-the-match award.
