Dutchman all the rage for Old Trafford vacancy

RYAN GIGGS was named Manchester United’s interim manager following the sacking of David Moyes but only one man was being backed to become the next Old Trafford boss.

Louis van Gaal, a 5-1 shot when it became apparent that Moyes would soon be out of a job, is now only evens to get the gig with punters latching on to the Holland national team manager who will be out of work once the World Cup finishes in Brazil this summer.

Jurgen Klopp was one of the immediate front runners for the post but has since ruled himself out of the vacancy and Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola did likewise to make Van Gaal the most obvious of all the candidates.

The plunge on Van Gaal saw everyone else drift and Giggs is out to 12-1 for the role beyond his current caretaker stint.

The Welshman will remain in charge for the four league fixtures left of this season and bet365 and Ladbrokes are 5-1 he finishes with a perfect record, starting with Norwich on Saturday.
