Fox in the box Vardy eyes goalscoring record
JAMIE VARDY has made a mockery of bookmakers’ odds throughout the season and he will need to do so one more time if he wants to break Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Premier League goalscoring record of scoring in 11 consecutive matches.
The Leicester striker takes on Manchester United on Saturday and is 17-10 with Paddy Power to score again, while Betfred will enhance their price from 9.30am to 3-1 for a maximum of £100.
Vardy, who was still 25-1 with bet365 to surpass Van Nistelrooy before the West Brom fixture three matches ago, is 25-1 with Coral to score 30 league goals this season despite having already bagging 13 times.
Vardy is 9-2 with Betfred to be named as the man of the match against Unitedand is still not favourite to win the Premier League Golden Boot even though he is four goals clear of the chasing pack.
He is 11-4 with Paddy Power and Sky Bet to take the Golden Boot – Sergio Aguero heads the betting – while Coral and Betfair make him 6-1 to win the PFA Player of the Year award.
Ladbrokes rate Vardy 10-1 to leave the Foxes in January, while bet365 offer 5-2 he outscores England team-mate Wayne Rooney this evening.
Despite their flying start, the Foxes are 11-1 with Sky Bet to make the top four and the leaders are 100-1 to win the title.
