Gibraltar goal stuns odds-on punters
SCOTLAND were easy winners over Gibraltar but the game will be remembered most for the minnows scoring their first ever competitive goal in a 6-1 defeat at Hampden Park yesterday.
Both teams to score was available at 6-1, while those who backed Scotland to win to nil at a best-priced 1-5 were left stunned when Lee Casciaro briefly equalised for Gibraltar.
Shaun Maloney had earlier opened the scoring with a penalty and added another from the spot, while Steven Fletcher and Steven Naismith were also on target for Scotland in the first half.
Fletcher completed his hat-trick with a second-half double.
Northern Ireland boosted their chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 after beating Finland 2-1. Kyle Lafferty grabbed both goals for the Windsor Park hosts.
