Grealish 6-4 to win an England cap this year

JACK GREALISH has declared he wants to play international football for England rather than Ireland and bet365 make the Aston Villa midfielder 10-1 to be named in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 finals squad.

The 20-year-old had been the subject of interest from England and Ireland, who he represented at Under-21 level, before saying: “It was not an easy decision as Ireland has a special place with me through my family. But I have decided to represent the country of my birth.”

Grealish is 6-4 with Hills to play for England’s senior side in 2015 and Coral go 9-4 that he starts a match this year.

Hills quote Grealish at 2-5 not to be named in the squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania next month with BoyleSports quoting him at 7-2 to start against Estonia at Wembley on October 9.

Hodgson had made it clear he likes the look of Grealish, but the Villa man is 5-1 with Hills to go back on his decision to represent England with Ireland understandably disappointed the Birmingham-born player turned them down.

Grealish could be seen as a wildcard selection for the Euros, although other uncapped players are also knocking on the door. Hodgson was at White Hart Lane to see Tottenham’s last two Premier League wins over Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

Dele Alli was introduced into the betting at 16-1 earlier this month to be on the plane to France but he is now as low as 5-1 and a best-priced 8-1 with Betfair and Paddy Power, while Eric Dier’s impressive performances have been noticed in the markets.

Dier, arguably Tottenham’s best player since being moved from centre-back to holding midfielder, was 16-1 with Betfair on Sunday, but the firm have taken evasive action, now going only 5-2.

On Monday, Bet365 cut Dier from 8-1 to 5-1, while James Vardy is another mover. The Leicester forward is as low as evens and a top-priced 3-1 with Paddy Power.
