Gunners blow as key man faces surgery
ARSENAL’S Premier League title hopes were dealt a significant blow with the confirmation that Santi Cazorla is set to undergo ankle surgery next week and the Spanish playmaker will be sidelined for an estimated key three-month period.
Cazorla has started ten games for the Gunners this season with Arsenal winning eight and drawing two of those.
The win percentage drops from 80 to 45 when Cazorla has been absent from the starting 11 with five wins, four draws and two defeats.
Arsene Wenger’s fourth-placed side are 8-1 to win the Premier League and 4-5 to triumph at West Ham on Saturday.
The Hammers will have to pick themselves up from their 4-1 beating at Manchester United in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. The Red Devils, who will meet Hull in a two-legged semi-final, are 5-4 favourites to lift the trophy.
Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Tottenham on improved terms from the deal he agreed only in February and bet365 rate the England striker evens to reach 20 league goals this term. Kane is currently 15 goals short of that target.
