Hart odds-on for City exit as chase hots up
JOE HART’S Manchester City career looks to be over after he was once again snubbed by Pep Guardiola with a move increasingly likely this summer as Seville and Everton battle it out for the signature of the 29-year-old.
The England keeper, a substitute for City’s 5-0 thrashing of Steaua Bucharest in Tuesday’s Champions League playoff after being benched for the Premier League opener against Sunderland on Saturday, is 5-2 with Hills to still be at the Etihad on September 1.
It seems unlikely that Hart will replace Willy Caballero for Saturday’s trip to Stoke and reports continue to link City with the signing of Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo so it would make sense for England’s number one to seek a move away from Manchester, even if it is a temporary loan deal.
Everton had been backed into favouritism at one stage yesterday to be Hart’s club at the end of the summer transfer window, but now a switch to Seville is seen by bookmakers as the most likely outcome.
The Europa League winners had been 10-1 with Betway at one stage but are now evens with Hills to snap up Hart, who is 2-1 to end up at Goodison Park.
Coral are betting on Hart’s next permanent club with Seville 1-2 and Everton 3-1.
There was nothing wrong with City’s attacking play in the thrashing of Steaua and bet365 cut Sergio Aguero to 3-1 to win the Premier League Golden Boot after his hat-trick in Bucharest despite missing two first-half penalties.
Guardiola has said Aguero will retain spot-kick duties but Betfred and Paddy Power kept him at 100-30 to finish the campaign as the top scorer in England.
City are 12-1 to win the Champions League and 2-9 with Betfair and Sky Bet to beat Steaua in next week’s second leg at the Etihad.
