Hughton cut for vacant position at the Cottage
CHRIS HUGHTON shortened from 5-1 to 4-9 in the next Fulham manager betting on Thursday following reports that he features on a three-man shortlist and is set to be interviewed for the position next week.
The 55-year-old steered Newcastle to the Championship title in 2009-10 but has been out of the game since being sacked by Norwich six months ago.
Hughton replaces caretaker-manager Kit Symons as the market leader although Symons, who has eased from 5-4 to 3-1, has another chance to advance his claims when the Cottagers host leaders Norwich on Saturday.
Steve Clarke is also reported to be on Fulham’s shortlist and has been cut from 14-1 to 6-1.
The penultimate set of fixtures in the League of Ireland take place on Friday night with leaders Dundalk holding a one-point lead over second-placed Cork, who have a vastly inferior goal difference.
Dundalk are 1-4 to win at lowly Bray while Cork are 1-2 to keep up the pressure with a home win over mid-table Bohemians.
