In-form Jovetic popular for a golden season
STEVAN JOVETIC’S blistering pre-season form has not gone unnoticed by bookmakers and punters alike with the Manchester City hotshot proving popular in the Premier League Golden Boot market.
Jovetic, who suffered a frustrating first season at the Etihad, has scored four goals in two friendlies this summer and ranges from 25-1 to 50-1 to be the top goalscorer having been as big as 100-1 last week.
Fernando Torres is also 50-1 after Jose Mourinho rubbished claims he was looking to sell the Spaniard.
Ladbrokes are betting on Torres’ league goal tally this season with the line set at over/under 7.5 and he is 12-1 to be Chelsea’s leading hitman.
