Inter stun Tottenham with late fightback
Inter staged a tremendous late comeback to beat Tottenham 2-1 in their opening Champions League game at the San Siro.
Spurs, who had been 13-8 favourites to beat the 2-1 hosts, went ahead with a deflected second-half strike from Christian Eriksen.
They looked well on their way to taking the three points when Mauro Icardi blasted in a superb swerving volley after 86 minutes. Matias Vecino headed home the winner in added time.
Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick as Barcelona launched their bid to replace rivals Real Madrid as champions with a 4-0 home success over PSV in the other 5.55pm kick-off. Ousmane Dembele scored the other goal.
