Jurgen Klopp's Reds romp to the top

LIVERPOOL jumped to the top of the Premier League after hitting Watford for six at Anfield but bookmakers still prefer the title chances of third-placed Manchester City.

The rampant Reds are 11-4 to finish as champions after moving one point clear of Chelsea and two ahead of 9-4 favourites City plus Arsenal in a congested top four.

However, if Liverpool maintain the standards set in their opening 11 matches they will be difficult to stop - the Merseysiders are the highest scorers in the division with 30 goals and Jurgen Klopp’s side have already visited Arsenal, Chelsea and fifth-placed Tottenham.

Hills are 5-2 about the Reds scoring at least 100 league goals this term and it’s 2-7 they fall short of the century.

Sadio Mane notched twice yesterday and Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum were also on target, while Daryl Janmaat grabbed a consolation for Watford.

It continued Liverpool’s remarkable run of conceding in every one of their eight victories. and their only top-flight clean sheet came in a bore draw with Manchester United last month.

Three of the last four Premier League north London derbies had finished level before yesterday and that became four in five as Tottenham held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates.

Kevin Wimmer’s own goal gave Arsenal an advantage at the break but returning forward Harry Kane levelled from the spot with a second-half penalty.

Arsenal are out to 13-2 to win the Premier League with Spurs, who are still unbeaten in the Premier League, at 20-1. Spurs are 5-4 with Hills to finish as top dogs in north London for the first time since 1995, while Arsenal are 4-7.

A blistering first-half performance saw United return to winning ways with a 3-1 win at Swansea.

Paul Pogba’s blockbuster opened the scoring and Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged a brace before Mike van der Hoorn pulled one back for Swansea on 69 minutes.

Swansea are 5-6 for relegation and Hull are 4-9 as the Tigers showed their teeth to fight back from a 1-0 half-time deficit to beat Southampton 2-1.

Robert Snodgrass equalised Charlie Austin’s penalty and Michael Dawson secured Hull’s first Premier League triumph since August.

Leicester were turned over 2-1 at home by West Brom. James Morrison break the deadlock and Matt Phillips scored the winner with Islam Slimani on target for the champions.

Nineteen of the 20 Premier League teams bagged this weekend - Everton were the only side to fire blanks - and Betfred alone reported they were bashed for more than £2m on the both teams to score market.
