Klopp favourite to be next Barcelona boss

IF the Spanish media are correct then Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino won’t keep his job beyond the summer if his side lose to Real Madrid on Wednesday and he could depart even if the Catalans lift the Spanish Cup in Valencia.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp is 4-1 favourite with Paddy Power in a market where Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone comes next at 6-1.

Neither of those brash managers fit the Barca style perfectly, but that accusation can’t be levelled at Celta Vigo’s Luis Enrique who is a 13-2 poke. Enrique played for Barcelona and was also involved in the set-up under the tremendously successful Pep Guardiola.

Brendan Rodgers is 16-1 to be Barcelona’s next boss and his growing reputation will only enhance further if he manages to win the Premier League title with leaders Liverpool this season.

Martino has failed to repeat Guardiola’s success and he
needs to win tonight to calm the growing discontent towards him with some reports suggesting the players have turned on him.
