Lambert 5-1 to lead Rovers back to top flight
PAUL LAMBERT has been confirmed as Blackburn’s new manager, replacing the sacked Gary Bowyer, and he is 40-1 with Paddy Power and BoyleSports to lead Rovers to the Premier League this season.
Blackburn, 16th in the Championship after collecting 17 points from 16 matches this term, are 20-1 with Betfair and Sky Bet to be relegated but Lambert is aiming high after being refreshed by nine months out of the game.
“We just need to get a team that can play well and try and win games and I think if we can do that then we’ve got a chance,” Lambert told Blackburn’s official website.
“We will do everything we can to entertain the fans, we’ll do everything we can to win games, the players need the fans, there is no doubt about it, they’ve got to get behind us and we will do everything we can to reward them.”
The former Colchester, Norwich and Aston Villa manager has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Ewood Park and is 5-1 with bet365 to go up to the Premier League during his current tenure. Lambert is also 10-1 with to guide Blackburn to the top six this season.
Lambert’s first match in charge will be a trip to Preston on Saturday.
