Last-gasp Van Persie denies 1-100 Chelsea win
CHELSEA are 2-5 favourites to win the Premier League despite conceding a dramatic late goal in their 1-1 draw at Manchester United.
The Blues traded at in-play odds of 1-100 at Old Trafford and the draw was available at 22-1 shortly before United equalised through Robin van Persie in the 94th minute.
Veteran Didier Drogba – an 8-1 shot to score first – had put Chelsea in front with a 53rd-minute near-post header but Van Persie salvaged a point for the hosts after Branislav Ivanovic was shown a red card in injury time.
Ladbrokes make the title favourites 16-1 not to lose a league game this season although bet365, who had been offering 125-1 ante-post about an unbeaten campaign for the Blues, now go just 8-1.
United are 25-1 to win the league, well behind 7-2 shots Manchester City, and the Red Devils are 4-5 to finish in the top four this season.
There were away wins for Everton at Burnley and 4-1 shots Newcastle, who came from a goal down at half-time to beat Tottenham 2-1.
Everton are 6-1 to finish in the top four while Spurs are out to 7-1.
Van Persie’s late strike triggered a Ladbrokes offer and the firm refunded losers on major markets as free bets.
