McClaren 8-1 to make Premier League return

STEVE McCLAREN’S time at Twente came to an end when he left the club on Tuesday and Ladbrokes rate him 8-1 to be managing in the Premier League.

The former England manager has been heavily criticised in Holland for a negative style of play, while results have been poor with Twente winless since Christmas and they sit fifth in the Eredivisie.

Twente are 25-1 with BetVictor to win the Dutch league and McClaren said: “We have agreed it's in the best interest of the club. I leave a proud man to have managed Twente. It has brought me many good memories and one of the greatest days in my career when winning the title in 2010.”

Expert verdict
Jamie Vardy has equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in ten consecutive Premier League games and the Leicester striker has the chance to go one better against Manchester United. The market is still not showing the Foxes the respect they deserve and the leaders can stun United.
