MLS seen as Lampard's most likely destination
THERE is set to be a long list of potential suitors for Frank Lampard assuming the England international is allowed to leave Chelsea at the end of the season and the betting on his next club is wide-open to reflect the anticipated mad scramble.
A switch from Stamford Bridge to the MLS is Coral’s favourite at 4-1 with LA Galaxy seemingly leading the chase across the Atlantic but Sir Alex Ferguson has never been afraid to have ageing stars in the Old Trafford dressing room and Manchester United are 5-1 shots to sign Lampard.
QPR are also rated at 5-1 with Real Madrid (10-1), Monaco (14-1), Arsenal and Fulham (both 16-1) all relatively prominent in the betting.
Alex Del Piero swapped Juventus for the A-League and Lampard is 18-1 to move to Australia but a return to former club West Ham is unlikely at 50-1.
However, any move is likely to be in the summer rather than this window with Hills quoting 1-4 that Lamps is still wearing the Blue of Chelsea come the end of January.
