Move for Martinez to take over at Tigers' helm
ROBERTO MARTINEZ became the new favourite in the betting on the next Hull manager on Monday lunchtime after media reports suggested the ex-Everton boss was being lined up for an interview by the Tigers board.
Martinez, a 16-1 shot when the market opened in the aftermath of Steve Bruce's resignation on Saturday, is now no bigger than 4-1 to take over at the KC Stadium. Hills and Sky Bet are as short as 2-1.
Bruce's assistant manager Mike Phelan is now 13-2 with bet365 to step up. And the Potteries-based firm and Paddy Power are now biggest about Steve McClaren at 7-1. Ryan Giggs is an 8-1 shot with Betfair while Neil Warnock and Steve Evans have drifted to 10-1. Roy Keane has been shoved out to 16-1 by Paddy Power.
