Nasri given three-match ban after no appeal

SAMIR NASRI will serve a three-match suspension after Manchester City decided not to appeal his sending off at Norwich on Saturday when he was dismissed for an alleged headbutt.

Roberto Mancini had hinted the club would appeal but that is not the case and Nasri will miss out on home dates against Stoke and Watford as well as a clash with former club Arsenal at the Emirates.

City's record with Nasri this season reads: W8 D7 L4 and without: W5 D3 L1

Mgladbach v E Frankfurt

Home Win Draw Away Win
Key stats
  • Gladbach have won ten and drawn the other of their last 11 home league games
Expert verdict
Gladbach have lost only once at home in the league in over a year - and that was against Borussia Dortmund - and did the double over Frankfurt last term to the tune of an 8-1 aggregate. Frankfurt have won two of four away games, but those were against backmarkers Ingolstadt and Hamburg, and this is a far tougher test.
