No let up in plunge on Pardew to be next out
PUNTERS appear to be taking little notice of stories that Alan Pardew’s job as Newcastle is safe for the time being.
A concerted campaign among the Magpies faithful is gathering pace after their miserable performance in a 4-0 defeat at Southampton on Saturday.
That left Newcastle bottom of the table and they have gained just one victory in Pardew’s last 12 matches.
The former Charlton and West Ham manager is 2-7 with Hills and Paddy Power to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
But reports suggest that Magpies owner Mike Ashley is not ready to pull the trigger and that Pardew will be in charge for their game against Hull on Saturday.
Pardew signed an eight-year St James’ Park contract two years ago.
Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is 6-4 with Paddy Power to be the next Newcastle manager, with Hull’s Steve Bruce 7-2 and ex-Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis 9-2.
Morale at Manchester United was boosted on Sunday when they claimed their first Premier League victory of the season with a 4-0 success over QPR and bet365 fancy Louis van Gaal will steer the Red Devils to a third-placed finish.
United are 3-1 to end up just behind the top two and are 8-1 to regain the title after finishing a disappointing seventh last season.
