Pep 11-8 to win title in first season at Citizens

Pep Guardiola has won three league titles in Spain and two in Germany, and he is 11-8 with bet365 to achieve Premier League supremacy in his debut campaign after agreeing a three-year-contract to manage Manchester City from the start of next season.

City's pursuit of Guardiola - one of the hottest properties in management - had been widely reported, although Monday's confirmation was seen as a blow to Chelsea and Manchester United, who were also believed to be keen on appointing the 45-year-old.

Guardiola is on course for a third successive Bundesliga triumph with Bayern Munich, who are eight points clear of Borussia Dortmund, although he faces a more difficult challenge with City.

Guardiola is 8-15 with BoyleSports to win a major trophy in his first season at the Etihad and 11-8 not to.

Winning the Champions League will be his toughest challenge, although he twice achieved that feat with Barcelona, and he is 9-1 with BoyleSports to lift the trophy for City next term.

Guardiola was able to leave Barcelona and Bayern on his own terms and his prospects for a successful stay at City look promising with bet365 going 1-2 that he sees out his three-year deal and 6-4 that he doesn't.

Those odds are a firm vote of confidence in his ability, bearing in mind the potential pitfalls of Premier League management. Of the current 20 top flight managers only Arsene Wenger and Eddie Howe have been in their jobs for more than three years.

Current city boss Manuel Pellegrini will hand over the reins when his contract expires on June 30 and has every chance of going out in a blaze of glory.

City are in the hunt in all four competitions and are favourites to win two of them (8-13 for the Capital One Cup and 13-10 for the Premier League).

They are a best-priced 16-1 to clinch the domestic treble, 12-1 for the Champions League and 200-1 for the quad.
