Platini big drifter to replace Blatter
MICHEL PLATINI has drifted from 1-3 to 11-10 to be Fifa’s next president after Swiss prosecutors opened a criminal investigation into Sepp Blatter “on suspicion of criminal mismanagement as well as – alternatively – on suspicion of misappropriation”.
A TV rights deal with Jack Warner in 2005 is under investigation and Blatter is also suspected of making a “disloyal payment” in 2011 to Uefa president Platini.
Hills reacted by pushing Platini out for the Fifa gig but he remains market leader from 7-4 shot Prince Ali bin al-Hussein.
Issa Hayatou has been slashed from 33-1 to 7-1 and it’s 12-1 bar the front three in the betting.
