Promoted Blackpool 12-1 to go up again

BLACKPOOL won a place in Sky Bet League One next season thanks to a 2-1 playoff victory over Exeter at Wembley and they are 12-1 with the sponsors to go straight up to the Championship.

Brad Potts gave the Tangerines the perfect start in the League Two playoff final at Wembley with a goal in the third minute but David Wheeler equalised for Exeter before half time.

However, City were unable to build on that after the break and Mark Cullen scrambled home a winner for Blackpool, who are 40-1 with Sky Bet to win League One next season.

Exeter are 14-1 to claim the League Two title next season and 10-3 to gain promotion.

Hamilton have retained their top-flight status in Scotland after beating Dundee United 1-0 in their second-leg playoff clash.

Gary Docherty’s goal saved Hamilton, while the 1-0 aggregate defeat means another season for United in the Ladbrokes Scottish Championship.

Arsenal are still basking in the glory of their FA Cup success over Chelsea on Saturday which made it three wins in the competition in the last four years.

The Gunners are 10-1 with Hills to lift the FA Cup again next season but there was no movement in the betting regarding Arsene Wenger’s future at the north London club.

Wenger is 2-5 with Coral to remain at Arsenal for next season and 7-4 to have departed despite the 2-1 triumph at Wembley.

Garry Monk is the 6-4 favourite to become Crystal Palace’s next manager with Sean Dyche a 4-1 shot to fill the Selhurst Park vacancy.

Monk is also prominent in the betting to move to Middlesbrough and is 11-8 with Hills to start next season at the Riverside.

Derek McInnes is odds-on across the board and best at 4-6 with Paddy Power to replace David Moyes at Sunderland, although the market for the Hull job is looking less clear cut.

Nigel Adkins is the nominal favourite at 5-1 from Moyes, who is a 6-1 shot with Betfred.

The line-up for the last 16 – which starts on Tuesday– is known for the Under-20 World Cup  in South Korea with England meeting Costa Rica on Wednesday for a place in the quarter-finals.

England are 13-2 with Betway to win the competition with Uruguay the 4-1 favourites. France have drifted to 9-2 with bet365 after being paired with Italy in the last 16.
