Rampant Juventus claim fifth straight Scudetto
JUVENTUS have been crowned Serie A champions after nearest challengers Napoli suffered a 1-0 defeat at Roma.
Napoli needed to win in the Italian capital to make Juve wait but it was Roma who triumphed thanks to Radja Nainggolan’s last-gasp goal.
Only two Serie A teams are guaranteed entry into next season’s Champions League with the third-placed side involving the playoffs and Napoli are now only two points clear of Roma with three fixtures remaining.
Juve had been 8-13 shots ante-post to land a fifth straight Scudetto crown but they were down in 11th place after a loss to Sassuolo on October 28.
The Old Lady have since won 24 and drawn one of their last 25 Serie A contests and never looked back from the moment they hit the summit in mid-February.
