Red Devils closing in on capture of Lukaku
ROMELU LUKAKU looks set to become a Manchester United player after the Red Devils agreed a fee with Everton.
The striker will have a medical with United, who are set to pay an initial £75m for the Belgian striker with a further £15m in possible add-ons.
Chelsea had thrown their hat into the ring on Friday after matching United’s initial bid but withdrew after refusing to pay the requested fees to Lukaku’s agent, Mino Raiola.
United are 7-2 with Betfair and Betfred to win the Premier League next season and Lukaku is 9-2 to be the league’s top scorer.
The Belgian hitman is unlikely to play alongside Wayne Rooney who was reportedly at Everton yesterday discussing a move in the opposite direction.
Should Lukaku’s deal go through Everton will have a hefty war chest at their disposal, and despite already spending big this summer the Toffees are expected to carry on splashing the cash.
Ladbrokes think that could include Virgil van Dijk and they have slashed the odds on him joining the Blues revolution.
The Southampton defender has been linked with Liverpool all summer but a move to the Blues is just 2-1 having been 50-1.
Liverpool remain 6-4 favourites with Ladbrokes to land one of their top transfer targets.
Wolves have been cut from 14-1 to 10-1 by bet365 to win the Sky Bet Championship after completing a £15.8m deal for Portuguese starlet Ruben Neves.
Wanderers have also been trimmed to 7-2 from 9-2 for promotion to the Premier League.
